General Description

Located on Mallorca's (Majorca's) spectacular northwest coast near the village of Deia, this beautiful old farmhouse has been carefully restored retaining its farming roots yet combining additional style and comfort. Its recent transformation has been born from the creativity of its owners: an architect, a landscape gardener and a dealer in ethnic art. Whitewashed walls, wooden beams and pebbled floors provide the perfect backdrop for a collection of simple African furniture and artefacts. Tribal drums, straw bowls, antique cloths and lobster pots are hung on walls or placed around the house as objet d’art. Candles, natural colours and textures - creams, ochres, dark woods, beige and stone - combine to create a soothing yet stylish ambience. The three bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 twin) are fresh, clean and airy. A lovely new swimming pool is tucked away in a large terraced garden, full of gnarled old olive trees and stocked with interesting Mallorquin (Majorcan) plants. The villa is located only 100 metres above sea level and you can walk directly down to the sea. Otherwise, the local beach of Deia is a delight and it is only 10 minutes drive. Deia is an idyllic village of green-shuttered, ochre-coloured houses and has established its reputation as an artist’s colony since Robert Grave decided in 1946 to make it his home. It is a prime example of 'the other Mallorca (Majorca)

Accommodation and Facilities

Two floors. Ground floor: There is an ample living room with beige sofas, tables and fireplace. The dining room has a table and chairs that seat 6. The kitchen is fitted with fridge, freezer, oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher. There is a TV room with a sofa. First floor (front): There are two double bedrooms: 1 queen sized (1.60m x 2.00m) and 1 king sized (1.80m x 2.00m). There is a communal bathroom with bath. First floor (rear): There is one twin bedroom (2 single beds 0.90m x 1.80m) and one small bathroom with bath with hand-held shower. Grounds: Terrace with sea views. There is a French-style table and chairs for dining al fresco and a private horizon swimming pool overlooking the sea and wooden sun loungers for relaxing around the pool.

We ask our clients to pay a refundable security deposit of € 500 prior to your arrival at the property. The deposit will be returned within 7 days if property has not suffered any damage.

Check in should be made after 4:00 PM on the day of arrival, and check out should be made before 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
